empty office building, dimly lit hallways. i know i’m not supposed to be there and something’s wrong (because i’ve had this dream before?). enter a room, look around. typical office. find key to locked drawer and pick up all the things in it like a video game. cant remember exactly what but there’s some official-looking documents. about to read them when i hear movement in the hallway. my heart is pounding. i move to the door and stand by the hinge. door slowly opens and then stops. a small baby crawls into the room and the door shuts behind it. the baby is babbling to itself. i pick it up and it looks at me and starts babbling loudly to me. i put it in the closet and move back to the door, scared something heard us. i open the door and look out. some of the doors in the hallway are open now to pitch black rooms. i hear something moving and close the door again. i stand by the door hinges again. the door starts to open and two human arms emerge. i try to slam the door shut on the arms and bruise them. they pull back a little, and then suddenly start reaching towards me. i slam the door again and break the arms at the forearms. the arms hang limp for a moment, then suddenly they push further into the room past the elbows, longer than any normal human arm, and twist around like tentacles. they twist towards me and grab me by the neck and start choking me. they’re going to choke me to death. i wake up. a different dream? i’m standing in a pool of water. i look around and see lush green banks with massive trees on them. i’m in a forest. i wade to the bank and walk along until i find a wooden bridge across another lake. a few small wooden buildings are scattered around the lake. there’s figures on a far bank walking along towards the buildings. i feel that this is Ireland and they are teenagers going to school.
